jkt pot as finger food - how?

Just wondering how to you give jkt pot as finger food? It's one of my faves (obv for the nutritional benefits not that it's so easy ) but DS at nearly 3, still doesn't really get jkt pot and DD is 9mo and just pokes at it. How do you present it to your toddlers so they eat the skin as well as the mash and how do you give it to babies? TIA.
p.s. sorry for such a basic question!!!

I would let it cool then slice it so that it looks like potato wedges.

ah, now I did wonder about that, thanks. I'll give it a go. DS might take better to it that way as well, as I've tended to do wedges rather than jkt pot lately, which he wolfs down, so he might like them this way. brill.

Spuds here tonight so thanks for the tips!

either let it cool and just present it to them and let them get stuck in (small fork or spoon optional!)

or, cut it into slices

well, great success. DD had a good old chew on her wedges, and I gave DS half of his as wedges, the other half as normal and he loved it both ways. ridiculous to have been worried about them not eating such a simple thing! thanks.

I hollow out the cooked jacket potato and mix it with butter, cheese and tuna and put it back in the skins. Goes down very well here.
