should I drop the night feed?

I'd like your opinions and advice.
DD 9.5 months and is down to 2 BF a day, once in morning when she wakes, and once in evening just before bed. It's the evening feeding I'm wondering about as lately she's become extremely active even during this supposedly soporific feed. She rolls over, gets into 'crawling mode' uses me like a jungle gym (if I let her) all while trying (and most of the time succeeding) to feed. Is this a sign that she doesn't need or want it actually? Or more a sign of an active baby that needs a little discipline? Should I stop trying to feed laying down?

Obvious question - have you tried feeding her sitting up?

It was around this time that my DD1 started rejecting her bedtime feed (she kept coming off the breast or bottle and coughing) so I dropped it and it was fine, she still slept through the night. And we never had to worry about weaning her off her bedtime milk after that because she did it herself!

It seems to me it's still a bit too early to drop the evening feed.
My DD is 11 mo and I noticed she behaves that way at her afternoon feed (she gets 3 bfs a day)- but still feeds, so I won't be stopping it til she plainly refuses to eat.

Well I have fed her sitting up and she tends to still want to move and extract herself. But of course, I have more control over her in that position. I have found in the past she didn't relax as fully in my arms so we went to the laying down feed. But perhaps you're right and I should just return and persevere with sitting up feeds.
To be honest I do feel like I could wean her completely but at the same time I do want her to get the benefits of bf as long as possible.

We did the sitting up feed again this evening and after initial screams she settled into it and managed to relax...When did she get so d* heavy?!
