After 6 months can you give anything?

I went with no nuts, no honey,no added salt. But gave anything else. DS was BLW so just offered all sorts - green beans were the first thing he had!

I gave meat and fish from the beginning too, he eats a really good variety of stuff now.

I still don't give him brie/pate but not sure whether I can tbh, but I don't think he needs it, I only have it in the house occasionally and I eat it all myself!

Yes, DD started eating exactly what we had from 6 months. You just need to avoid honey, keep salt to an absolute minimum and avoid any obvious choking hazards like whole nuts. So long as there's no reason to worry about allergies then its fine to do it this way. I would be letting her join in with christmas dinner if it were me!

Everything except salt and honey- risk of botulism.
They can have seafood. The whole allergy issue has never been resolved so there isn't really any hard evidence that giving them potentially allergenic foods early will trigger reaction.
I would, perhaps, introduce them carefully, so you will notice any problems, but really, after 6 months they can eat same as us.

I'd say just blend it to the consistency required, and offer water with the meals. I'd probably avoid fish fingers for a bit, mostly because they're a bit salty and probably not that nice mushed up! Fish without crumbs on perhaps.
I've avoided nuts (but not fanatically) as DD has occasional eczema flare ups so potentially a bit allergic, although showing no other signs.
I've xposed DD to meat and fish from a young age but she doesn't like - won't eat fish fingers or chicken, doesn't much like potato but oddly loves bean casseroles (bt not baked beans!) By which I'm saying try all sorts of food out, but don't be surprised that baby will have their own ideas about what they like.

I have also been rather confused about the advice about egg whites/yolks and have not given DS (6.5m) any egg yet. But have tried him on a lot of other things, trying versions of what we are eating. It does not always go down that well, however. Chicken with coconut the other day (made as a curry for us but left the curry ingredients out for his portion) made him sick: coconut a bit too rich perhaps?
