Buy a big tub of full fat greek yogurt, and add a bit of whatever fruit puree you like. No added sugar, and much cheaper than baby yogurts

Its fine to give yoghurt (assuming there are no dairy allergies) and I'd just go for a plain live one. Yeo Valley do a nice organic greek style yoghurt thats lovely and creamy.

rachel's greek yoghurt is a hit in our house, with apple, or mango, kiwi, blueberries etc, also rachel's little tasters and the sainsbury's kids range of fromage frais have no sugar, just fruit juice and are cheaper. My ds has had them since 6.5 months and loves them all.

full fat natural yoghurt and mashed berries were a nit with my ds2

I was buying the big pots of natural yogurt but i fould I wasn't using them up within the use-by guidelines (DD only 6.5 months and only taking a couple of spoonfuls really)so I have started buying a few small pots instead, which will keep longer and should be cheaper than chucking out half-full tubs(hopefully).

Yep, kids yogurts are scaaaaaaaaary when you start to read the labels....

hi we use Rachel's yoghurts - they come in yummy flavours like banana and mango and taste so much nicer than my low fat yoghurts! DS (9m) loves them. Quite big pots so if DS doesn't finish one either I finish it or we save it for the next meal

mistletoeandjuan · 12/12/2009 07:26

DD loves greek yoghurt - I don't even add any fruit at the moment. I buy the big pot and then eat whatever's left by the sell by date myself

slim22 · 12/12/2009 08:08

unless you eat it yourself, buy small pots.

RedHairedGirlie · 14/12/2009 20:32

Where can you get the Rachel's yoghurts from... someone mentioned them a while back on a post I made about yoghurts but never actually seen them in the supermarket - thanks!

I've seen Rachel's yoghurts in Tesco and Sainsbury's.
