Cooking with alcohol

I am BLW-ing Babyseb (6m/3) and was wondering about giving him food which I have cooked with alcohol.
EG - Spaghetti bolognese with about a cup (probably a generous cup) of red wine to 2lb mince which has been cooked, since adding the wine, for about two hours. Would you give this? I am thinking the alcohol would have cooked off but obviously want to be sure. (I wimped out of giving it on this occasion!!)

I cook a lot and a few of my dishes use alcohol in one form or another - what do others do?

Thanks in advance.

Well thats how i make my bolognaise and i serve it to my 8yld and i wouldn't give him alchol to drink. Haven't given it to my 7mth dd yet as we are doing puree/mash with a few finger foods. I think added salt is the main prob with food. I think after a couple of hours the alchol is gone, so i would think it to be safe

I've always given ds food that's had alcohol in it too... I often give him casseroles and pasta sauces I've made for us, and they usually have wine in them... have done this since starting weaning at 6 months (well, ok, so not quite at 6 months, but once we'd started down the weaning route, ie he was about 8 months old by the time we got to the casserole/pasta sauce stage)

He's 2.2 and never shown any sign of harm, eats very well, loves strong flavours lots of garlic and herbs etc.
