How much should I feed my hungry boy?

Hi

Our 7 and half month old seems to be eating solids in addition to his milk feeds, showing no inclination to drop any. He's still waking at midnight and 5.30 in the morning for a feed, apparently genuinly hungry. He really ejoys his solids and grumbles if we eat anything without giving him something at the same time.

Should we be feeding him larger quantities of solids? I know it is not possible to overfeed a breastfed baby, but presumably this is no longer true once solids are introduced?

He's a big boy, not overly fat but tall and chunky, and very very active.

ds is 6mnths. Has 3meals a day, plus a snack or two, and is still bf every 3hours during the day and night. Imo, id offer more milk than solids but i may be wrong

bumping - because i've got same problem. my 8 month old ds loves his solids and seems to be getting less interested in milk. i never know when to end a meal because he'll just go on and one if i keep offering him spoonfuls of food. don't know what the answer is. i try to make sure everything ds is eating is healthy. so banana porridge, plain yoghurt and grated apple for breakie. some kind of veggie stew, brown bread and stewed fruit for lunch and then maybe some meat like spag bol and little pasta shapes for supper. with a few rice cakes or snacks in between, and that's as well as four milk feeds at 7am, 11am, 4pm and 7pm.
does that sound about right for 8 months?
