DD3 is a good eater, will try most stuff. I seem to be stuck in a rut though of making up food that I also give the older children, eg spag bol, shepherds pie, baked potato with beans and cheese, etc.
I think she needs a little more finger food as she's going off the idea of me spooning things in.
So, breakfast has moved to more like cheerios, some given on highchair table for her to pick at, or toast or fruit and yogurt.
Lunch, I seem to be stuck on, does yours eat sandwiches, mine doesn't seem interested but would be interested to hear what tastier versions you have come up with other than my ham or marmite!
Dinner, spag bol, etc, need to move on to something else for a bit more variety, what does yours eat? Tried roast chicken last night, big hit, but can't make a roast every evening as often running around activities with the other girls, any quick suggestions?
Many thanks!

What about fishcakes/croquettes? Bit messy but possible to pick up (my one yo DS loves them). Homemade pizza is another hit - I make batches of dough and tom sauce for the freezer and then it's easy to defrost and put some cheese/veggies on top. Omelettes/frittata? Eggy bread?

We mostly have cheese sandwiches so can't help there!

Thanks greenpeas, I forgot that I did make homemade pizza and she loved it (cheated with an english muffin rather than making the dough but did make the tomato topping myself!) must try that again. Do you make the fishcakes and, if so, do you have an outline of a recipe?
I get so confused with eggs, can I give eggy bread at 11 months do you think?
Maybe I'll try cheese sandwich too! BTW, what bread do you use, someone mentioned brown bread has too much fibre for little ones so I use the 50/50 bread, have you heard about the fibre thing?

DS2 (nearly 11 months) loves eggs too, scrambled, eggy bread omlettes etc for any meal!

He usually has whatever we're eating, sometimes blitzed a bit in the blender. he loves lamb tagine with cous cous and veg, mild curry with rice and nan bread, any stew or casserole, mild chilli (I do most of these things in the slow cooker so dead easy if you're running around with the older kids)

13 MO DS3 won't eat bread at all at the mo unless it's toasted so for dinner he has a right muddle !!

Raisins and humzingers go down well with him, pieces of fruit (melon/plum/apple/grapes), a yoghurt, i do mini pittas which he has soft cheese spread on - somedays he will eat some days he won't.

Teas are just whatever we are having but in mini portions. Some i feed him others i leave bigger bits for him to feed himself.

Big Tip - when you make afamily meal, freeze 1YO size portions and that way you have several meals you can just pull out and reheat

All my dcs LOVE it when we have fajitas and as soon as dcs were eating finger foods they enjoyed it!
I lay the table with lots of bowls and the fajitas and we all make our own and then tuck in. Bowl of sliced peppers, diced cucumber, small pieces of chicken, chopped tomatoes, shredded lettuce, little bowl of sweet chilli sauce for the more daring dcs, pot of sour cream. It's a massive hit with finger food fanatics -and can be adapted for other meals too - we do a lot of wraps and the boys make up their own with bowls of grated cheese, slices of ham, chunks of hard boiled egg etc
They love putting the things togethe themselves and tend to tuck in more when it's something they've made themselves.

just giving you a little bump

If you don't mind the mess- pasta in any sauce (with cheese on topo) using the twists so she can feed herself with a side portion of Cucumber sticks, halved cherry tomatoes, or veggies such as pieces of broccoli, carrot, sweetcorn, peas etc.

Fish fingers or veggie fingers, potatoe wedges and peas.

Roasted veg kebabs- cherry tomatoes halved, courgette chunks, shallots, peppers, mushrooms with pieces of chicken or fish optional.

Sandwich fillings: Cheese & cucumber, salmon, tuna mayo & sweetcorn.

Chunks of cod in parsley sauce with veggies and wedges or boiled potatoes.

Raisins, yoghurt coated raisins, other dried fruit such as apple rings, apricots etc, rice cakes, galia melon slices with skin on so they get a good grip, orange segments, banana, peach slices, blueberries, rasberries, any fruit really, chunks of cheese for dessert or snacks.
