How much milk should my weaned baby be drinking?

Hi everyone, wondering if there is any advice out there for me. My baby is just over 7 months old and I weaned her at 6. She loves food, has enjoyed everything she has tried. Previously she was exclusively breastfed. i'm now almost at the stage where I need to return to work and so she needs to get into drinking formula (I have never been successful with expressing milk) for milk feeds - but she hates it!!

as she has started eating more solids, her milk consumption has decreased somewhat. She still has breast milk 3 times a day (but I have to say she is less interested in the breast now) and drinks water/dilted juice with solids.

What I need to know is how much formula she needs to be drinking alongside the solid food she is having (I've never had to measure milk before!) so I know how much of a battle I have on my hands. In terms of the solids she has a varied diet already ? she eats green veg (spinach, beans, beans, peas, broccoli etc), dairy (fromage frais, cheese in sauces etc), chicken and fish and all sorts of root veg and so on. I try to use formula to puree things to the right consistency but obviously that's not loads.

She also went straight on to a cup - never got on with a bottle. She's great with it... but when there's formula in there, she happily sucks away and then opens her mouth and lets the majority dribble down her front.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

the equivalent of 20oz is recommended up to 1 year - this includes milk in cereal, other dairy products and any non-dairy sources of calcium so it doesnt all have to be in drink form. Would she drink breastmilk out of a cup? (if you are able to express) or you could try a different formula as they dont all taste the same.

will she still be having breastfeeds when you are around as that will also add to her daily intake?

She would drink breastmilk out of a cup i think but I just can't express enough of it to do so. What's I'm worried about is when I am back at work so feel I need to start the mammoth task of getting her used to formula asap.

I was just re-reading Seona1973. She is having other sources of calcium (dairy and non) but I don't know how to measure it so, ie, if she has baby cereal with milk, and a fromage frais and a meal with cheese or milk in it, and some dark green veg, how much of the 20oz does that make up?!
