What is low allergy weaning

Read about it on this thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/allergies/681877-eczema-dry-patches-baby-happy-am-I-being-neglectful which sounds just like me. My nearly six month old ds has developed what looks like excema on his back. It doesn't seem to itch or bother him much but it doesn't look nice. Because I had excema as a child, I'm super sensitive to it and keen to take action. The rash came exactly as I started to wean him, which I think I did too fast, so now i've gone back to breastmilk and baby rice and have heard about allergy-aware weaning, does anyone know what this is?

I think it is basically introducing allergenic foods later than you would normally. The theory being that their systems can cope better if they're a bit older. I'm not a hundred percent sure that this is what is being referred to, but here is what I did anyway.

I used this table because of a family history of allergies. I found it useful to give me an idea of what foods might be more allergenic than others. I introduced certain foods gradually and started her off with things that I knew would be safe for the first couple of months of weaning, before trying her with more allergenic things. When I did introduce allergenic food, I did it one at a time to see what, if any reaction she would have.

However dd has never had any exema, so I can't advise on that. Maybe you should get some medical advice?
