What am I going to feed 11-month-old ds on holiday?

Going to Lanzarote for a week with my 11-month-old ds. Booked at hotel room which has a microwave and a fridge and just assumed at the time that my ds would have a few plum pots for lunch/dinner and a bit of finger food. However, my ds doesn't seem to like any jars of baby food. Starting to panic about what I'm going to feed him as the hotel room isn't really geared up to cook meals. He normally has a lunch (spag bol, chicken/lamb/casserole)and a veggie dinner (pasta, leek and pot soup, lentils) so will he be ok just eating finger food for lunch and dinner? He will munch on a bit of toast and have a few bits of cheese, hummus, cream cheese but this isn't going to be enough for him to live on for a week twice a day is it after he's been used to big bowls of chopped up meals?

Wr took ds to lanzarote when he was 11 months old. We were b&b so he had cereal/toast/fruit/yoghurt for breakkie, then the rest of the time he had whatever we were having - sandwiches/chips/salad on a lunch, steak/pizza/lamb/rice/pasta/garlic bread/seafood on a night.

We had a supermarket near us, so we got cheese, yoghurts, fruit crisps etc for snacks during the day.

We didnt take any jars or food with us, although you could take a couple of those dried packet pasta things if you wanted just in case?

presumably you won't just be eating cheese and humous will you? can he not just have normal food like you'll be having?

He'll eat whatever you do. He's at that age when it's a pleasure to share your food with him. Just avoid giving him very salty or spicey food, and seafood probably as well. It doesn' necessarily even need to be chopped up or mashed. Look on this as an opportunity to widen his (and your!) food horizons.

Order him mash/Jacket potato and beans/cheese. cut up a bowl of Spag. Bol. really small (well any pasta dish really) and ice cream for dessert. And like geordieminx said, buy a load of yogurts to top him up throughout the day. I bet he won't go hungry! (you can always buy jars there and keep trying if you are desperate) I worried too the first time we went away and everyone Babies have to eat in Spain too!!! Keep offering loads of finger food.

Relax and have a nice holiday..

I'd love him to be able to eat what we're having and he's fine with breakfast, I was just worried about the salt content if you order things like spag bol/risotto in a restaurant. Plus he's not that great with finger foods and lumps still. He'll put it in his mouth, mush it up a bit then spit it out. Cheese, toast etc are the only things he'll tend to swallow.

just pass him bits of veg and meat or bread and cheese, pasta, etc. maybe avoid sauces for the salt but otherwise just go for it!
