Too pushed for time to research BLW properly now so can someone please answer a few quick questions for me?

Started weaning DD yesterday at 26 weeks.

I gave her carrot puree (a bit lumpy, not completely smooth) and she loved it.

So this morning I just gave her a banana and she loved that too.

I thought I was going to go down the puree route but on the basis of how she's getting on so far I think a more BLW approach may work for us.

Soooo...my question is this.

With BLW how often should I feed her? Do you need to introduce one meal a week like with purees?

So should I just feed her once a day all this week, and can it be a variety of different things, or does it need to be the same thing?

Also, I'm thinking I probably need to do a recuss course first (was booked for one and it was cancelled) shoud I stick to purees til then?

Thanks.

Just as likely to choke on purees, I believe.

Whenever she's awake when you're eating, give her something to eat. No need to add one thing at a time etc. unless you have reasons eg. allergies in the family.

It can be very messy, so I leave DS in sleepsuit til after breakfast and save messier food for teatime as he goes straight in the bath after.

Put a cloth on the floor so you can re-offer dropped items, and don't give too much at once because they can find it overwhelming.

Errmm... I think those are the basics!

as they swallow such little quantities with BLW there's no harm in offering food whenever you're eating, 3 times a day etc. The quantities will increase slowly so as not to overcome your DD's digestive system in the early days. Just give them a bit of what you're eating and take her lead, following what she can cope with shape, flavour and texture-wise.

A resuss course is a v good idea for any mum regardless of weaning method.
