Food ideas for an 11 month old???

What do you all feed your 11 month old?

My DD has a combination of spoon fed dishes such as pasta and sauce and also finger foods. I just wanted ideas on greater variety of food for her. I know that her age she should really be having what we're having but that isnt always practical as me and DP eat when he gets home from work at 6pm which is too late for her. Also I'm worried about the salt content in our food. I dont add salt to our cooking but some things such as stock cubes are high in salt.

Is there anything she shouldnt be having? I was going to give her baked beans for luch the other day but I think they're full of salt arent they??

Some food/receipe ideas would be great thanks

we were giving ds what we were eating at that stage - he was a big fan of anything with beans or lentils in it. (mind you he is peculiar child who will ignore everything on his plate until he's hoovered up all the veggies and asked for more!) He ate a LOT of baked beans [slack mum] and after lots of looking I'd found the homebrand ones to be lowest salt and sugar in Tesco. I put diced up tofu or pasta and vegies (sauteed) in his beans.

hth, sure more useful people will be along in a mo.

Whatever you cook for you and DP keep a portion back for her to have the next day. You can get bouillon powder which is like stock but low in salt.

From 6 months I have offered to DS:

Breakfast:

porridge pancakes
eggy bread
muffins
crumpets
toast
shredded wheat bitesize
no added salt/sugar muesli
greek yoghurt
boiled egg with soldiers
scrambled egg
poached egg
omelette
bagels

occasionally:

pancakes
hash browns
potato waffles
sausage
sausage and egg mayo sarnies

Lunch:

quiche
egg on toast
slices of chicken, beef, lamb etc
pre cooked and cooled potato wedges
omelette (cooled and cut into squares)
use tortilla wraps or pitta bread instead of bread to make a wrap instead of a sandwich.
rice cakes
crackers
crumpets
rice with peas and sweetcorn
baked potato
pasta with sauce
savoury pancakes
risotto
cauliflower, broccoli and leek in white sauce
mashed potato with onion and tomato
carrot, swede and parsnip mash

Dinner: takes a bit more time than the other meals but generally we rotate this sort of list.

courgette fritters
chickpea burgers
mini pizzas
quesadillas
kedgeree
chicken kievs
chicken with pesto
turkey twizzlers
leek and broccoli muffins
pepper and courgette muffins
pumpkin wedges
fish cakes
fish fingers
chicken goujons
potato cakes
sausages
hash browns
waffles
chicken curry
lasagne
spag bol
sheperds pie
moussaka
pasta and meatballs
fish pie
chilli con carne
burritos
fajitas
curried eggs with rice

loads of ideas on here

nappyaddict - thats a fantastic list [fastidiously copies out list in notebook]

We had great success today with our 8 mo dd with thin strips of lambs liver fried for only a minute each side with carrot and potato rosti...
