baby is 15 week 1 day and is starting to get niggly.

Like he eats his milk, gets full but then half an hour later realises he isnt satisfied.

Should i give him one meal of puree?

Bear in mind he is a big boy (in length minght i add) wearing 6-9 month sleeps suits!

please and thanks

no

all he needs is milk

if he's hungry 30min later offer him some more!

boogeek · 16/01/2009 15:03

It makes no difference what size he is - at 15 weeks he just needs milk- as much of it as he wants, as often as he wants it.

You really should wait until he is 26 weeks (6 months) if he is hungry give him more milk. Once he's 6 months you can give him solids.

MrsWalton · 16/01/2009 15:03

No - far too early. More milk please mummy.

My DD was 98th centile when born, 85th now. She fed and fed and fed until she was 4 months old then suddenly she can go for four hours between milk feeds.

We'll wean her in 3 weeks when she gets to 26 weeks. There really isn't any need to do it sooner.

ok thank you!

Oh and try not to get stressed. There's plenty more opportunity to get stressed with eating habits ahead of you Learning not to get stressed is the best thing you could do for him. Really.

And when you work out how to do that, post on here and let me know.

It can seem hard to believe that they can grow and grow and grow on milk alone, esp on the days they want to feed all day -- but they can and do - dd was 99.6th centile from birth, and is still at age 2 very tall and sturdy. She did just fine on milk until 26 weeks, and we didn't do particularly quick 3 meals a day weaning.

Also bear in mind that if you were trying to lose weight, you'd ditch fatty milk and go on to vegetables, so you need to do the other way round for growing babies. Good luck.
