Is it OK to put cows milk on porridge at 6 months?

DD3 is bf and has never had formula. However I have started making up a bit each day to add to her breakfast, but it's such a faff! I hate expressing so that's not really an option. I'm pretty sure I used cows' milk in cooking for my older two from 6 months.

Fine to use in cooking (and porridge making!)from 6 months, advice is not to give as a drink until after 1.

Thanks, will keep on with bf till 12 months I hope. But it will be a relief not to have to fiddle around sterilizing etc simply for a little bit of porridge.

I think when you start weaning it's easy to worry about the effects of every crumb that passes their lips. Having only ever given her bm, and now a few veggies/fruit, it seems a big step to give her cows' milk, but we don't have any allergies in the family and I've got no real reason to worry. You would think I would be worry less now I'm on dc3 - but no .
