watching ds2 now 16mths demolish corn on the cob with such gusto and focus!
Tis wonderful! Tickles me pink! My friends dd is 18mths and still only accepts purée yoghurt and jars.
She thinks my ds2 is a freak! And that I'm crackers!

Mine is was at a wedding a few weeks ago, DS was 6 1/2 months and scoffing down roast turkey, carrot, broccoli and LOVING the yorkshire pudding () while a 1 year old was being spoon-fed a jar next to us! I just sat there wanting to say "look how well he's eating!!!" the whole time

The first time ds ate without gagging - stuffing spag bol down his throat at around 7 or 8 months! It remains one of his favourites today!

I love how DS shakes the food and turns it over slowly to inspect it on all sides before he pops it in his mouth, he is so inquisitive!

A great memory is when he point blank refused baby mush once when we were out in a cafe but happily munched on my pitta bread and hummous- I barely got any!

Last week, I made this spicey thing with spinach, cauli, red lentils and onions with couscous (it was supposed to be curry but didn't really taste like it!), he had a piece of spinach in one hand and a piece of cauli in the other and alternatively eating them! Don't think he could decide which one he like the most!
Oh and yesterday he tried to stuff a bit of toast and butter and a chunk of mature cheddar into his mouth at the same time
Greedy gannet
He is just over 7.5 months.

My favourite moment when BLW is the first time I got to eat my dinner without interuptions cos DD was busy munching on a chip.

I think my other fave is watching everyone shocked at her eating at my cousins 18th buffet.
She ate, burgers, salad, bread alsorts and they couldn't get over it.

Going to a first birthday party and DD literally demolishing a whole pot of houmous by sticking her hand in the pot and sucking it off! Fortunately the mum knew I BLWed and had seen DD attempting to do the same a week earlier so bought it specially for her! And thankfully we were in the garden as there was houmous everywhere!

DS2 is not far off 7mths, and though introduced to solids from 6mths only last couple of weeks taken to wanting to really eat, this happened abroad on holiday, talk about ecstatic for garlic bread and then a Hungarian piece of potato with paprika on it followed by some french style jaffa cake! I swear I never planned it to be like this, it just happened, as he turned his nose up at carrot and other healthier versions for eating

Sitting in a restaurant when DS was 6.5 months old and wastching him suck steak, chips and watercress salad to death, much to the horror/fascination of other diners.
