DD hardly drank any milk this afternoon, should I be worried?

She's 6mths, has been having mashed/pureed fruit/veg at lunchtime (as well as normal BF) for about two weeks. Today I went out in the afternoon and DP was looking after her, he gave her some milk before lunch but she only took about 1oz, didn't eat much of her veg, had some water to drink. She ate some peach puree during the afternoon but she only drank about another 1-1.5oz milk. When I got home she had a very big BF, then went to bed. She doesn't have bottles very often (EBM when she does) but usually is happy to take them and wasn't fractious or hungry seeming or anything today, no crying or anything, just barely any milk.

I'm only really worrying about it because I'm back at work on Monday and DP is going to be looking after her during the day, so I'm a bit anxious about this pattern continuing.

Don't worry. Trust her to know what she needs. Maybe she just missed you? My daughter is still a bit funny about taking milk from people other than me and she's 21 months and hasn't breastfed for 7 months. I think she just associates milk with me.

Thanks Lucicle. She was quite happy while I was away but when I arrived back lifted up her arms to me (first time she's really done that 'raising arms to be picked up' thing) and we had a lovely cuddle while she murmered away in my ear - telling me about her day, I imagine! So maybe you're right, and she was just missing me a bit. I told DP (to reassure him) that she probably just wasn't hungry. Anyway she seems absolutely fine today so I'm just going to stop worrying and assume she'll get used to the bottle again and will take what she needs.
