So many questions....

Ok, have posted about some of these things before but still struggling. Have been weaning my 6-month-old for a couple of weeks and am taking a puree/BLW approach - ie. she has some spoon-fed stuff, like mashed banana, but also pieces of fruit, and this week, toast, to hold and try herself. She also is quite keen on holding and trying to feed herself with the spoon. However...seem to have got 'stuck' on fruit purees, yoghurt/fromage frais...dd not keen on veg/meat/fish purees I've tried, even when mixed with sweet things. Don't want to turn feeding time into a battle and create any food issues, and she's still having the same amount of milk each day, which I know should be her main source of nutrition. However have got meself a bit stressed (as queen of the worriers) that she isn't ever going to accept things that aren't sweet or yoghurty! Am I just rushing things too much? I seem to be stuck between people who say stick to a few things initially and those who say introduce lots of diversity early so they don't get fussy! What would the wise MNers suggest?

my DD is 7mo and is just now becoming more fussy with her food - previously she ate everything, but recently isn't liking savoury too much, either

so, i now usually mix bland savoury things (rice, peas, potato - all cooked until soft) with purees that are sweet, but also contain veg (ella's kitchen pumpkin, sweet potato and blueberry is a favourite)

that way i feel she is getting the veg in, but also still enjoying her food.

she doesn't seem to kind more savoury things if she can feed herself - bread and philly works well. so i am holding out hope she won't be entirely sweet-toothed forever

i wouldn't worry about reducing milk - once she eats more solids she'll reduce what she has by herself. i worried about this more than anything and DD seems to be perfectly self-regulating in this respect

meant to say she doesn't mind savoury food so much if she can feed herself - not kind too lazy to go and turn the light on so typing virtually in the dark
