Hi, my dd is 9 months and Im starting to move onto lumpier food for her. Id like to make her some pasta dishes, in the annabel book one dish is cheesy pasta stars and it says to use soup pasta stars, what is this, is it just normal pasta? I have looked in supermarket but can not find it. Is it ok to use normal pasta for 9 month old? Also another dish is alphabet pasta??

Thanks

normal pasta is fine. AK sells her own line of weaning 'essentials' including her own baby pasta stars.

it is all about making weaning seem more complicated than it really is so you buy her stuff to help you make it easier.

It is called "stelline", commonly ued in Italy for small children and used in soups. Try independant delis. It is good because it is soo small it is ideal for fist "lumps" without having to chop it up. But otherwise just buy any other pasta and cut up.
