Does ccoking some pasta and stirring some philadelphia cheese through it sound a reasonable supper for dd 10 mo and does the cheese need to warm or anything?

Sounds great! Cheese will warm and melt whilst it's being stirred into the hot pasta. Could also use mascarpone cheese instead of Philly, that's good too.

Aitch · 24/06/2008 14:25

yep, mascarpone's a bit less salty than philly. v cheap in lidl.

We make an all family version using Boursin and throwing in some smoked salmon if we're feeling flush!

megcleary · 24/06/2008 14:29

Right, as mentioned am dire at cooking is pesto made from pine nuts? If so as dd is 10 mo should she avoid nuts?

pine nuts aren't nuts, tbh, they're seeds. however, a lot of pesto sauces contain cashews so it's a fair question. afaia, the guidance is to avoid peanuts, not all nuts, so i gave it to dd from 6 mos.
