Milk with lunch

DS is 10months and I have just started him feeding himself.
He has been on jars for a while now and will have 2 stage 3 size jars a day followed by custard/yogurts/fruit. I'm thinking this is a bit heavy and I would ideally like him to eat more "proper" food with us.
He has never been too bothered with milk and as he ate o much solids, he only has a bottle to go to bed.
Anyway, my question, he is now having sandwiches/crackers/pasta or whatever for lunch but as it is less in amount than the jar, I want to give him some milk to accompany his lunch. Don't really want to give formula so how long can I have full-fat milk out of the fridge before it's no good?
Was thinking using full fat at home and ready made formula when we are out. Thoughts?

Thanx DA, I know. I tried to give him a cup of formula mid afternoon but he was putting on so much weight and I was advised by hv not to lower the ammount of solid as he was doing so well and just replace the lack of milk with cheeses, yogurts etc. I am confident that he is getting all the nutrients he needs as he has a very good diet, I'm just not sure how long it is proper milk can be in his spout cup, before it goes bad if we are out.

Ok. Good idea abou the thermos.
I'm thinking now that maybe it should be one or the other. Formula of cows. I've never given formula at same time as a meal. Always made the 2 completely different activities. I looked at it like it would be like me having a lasagne for dinner and washing it down with a cup of soup. Might sound stupid, but that's how I think of it as formula is still food. Maybe I'll use formula anyway, it's not much he'll have and now it is to top up a meal.

Plus he only has 7oz of formula at bedtime and maybe 4-5oz poured over his breakfast.

Thanx DA, he is a big boy and know that if he under eats for a while, it won't do any harm. he hasn't been bothered about the decrease in food these past few days either, nor has he seemed distressed at the fact I keep changing how he has his meals!
