Booster highchairs, any tips for stopping your child launching out of them?!

Just purchased a booster highchair for 11 month old. Attached securely to chair, child attached securely to booster seat then grabs the table and pushes backwards nearly landing on the concrete floor. Would not have been pretty.

Rectified the situation, all calmed down, she did it again! Now she is not the strongest child and obviously I am not leaving her unattended but think this is highly dangerous! Any suggestions?

Have put her against the wall now but this is not ideal as cannot get her in and out easily or clean round there so am picturing friendly mouse family setting up home in the food debris.

Have manufacturers not considered this element of danger?

Surely it isn't really the manufacturers problem, how would they solve it apart from not making them at all ? tbh 11 months is pretty young to be using one regularly . Theortically she could tip a high chair in a similar fashion. and if she sat on the chair itself she codul do the same ?

I think quite a few people use them from the start if they don't have room for highchairs so not sure age is the problem. There are no safety guidelines and we're both intelligent people and decided to move her on to one as she likes to sit at table with us and it would be useful for travelling.

haven't used one, but do know people who have, as you say, from the start, 6mths+

we have a tripp trapp and i've read on here some people saying their LOs have done the same from them

Got {[http://www.johnlewis.com/230443616/Product.aspx this]] instead of a traditional booster, and it's great - it seems pretty secure and good for travelling - not as high as a booster, but does the job. DD is also 11m.
