Am not quite out of the morning-sickness woods yet, and this thread has taken a most disturbing turn.

You puree-phobics are Very Weird, you know. I'm sure Dr Habbibu will know an appropriate medical term....

I discovered my cat likes broccoli, as he was eating the bits that ds dropped on the floor yesterday.
He is a very strange moggy.

Habbibu · 22/06/2008 08:19

Hmm . I'm going to call it an ague. Or possibly dropsy.

Habbibu · 22/06/2008 08:21

vvvq - just a random set of noises that dd made when very small. Turns out it's Arabic for "make beloved" or something like that.

welliemum · 22/06/2008 10:58

You're BLW-ing your cat, bouncingturtle! Respect.

Ah, I do like your traditional approach to disease, Dr H. I have a 16th century paediatric textbook (a copy of one I mean) and it's full of lovely conditions like "Yeaxing" and "Brustynge".

They just don't make 'em like they used to... [nostalgia]

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/06/2008 20:55

Ah I see I knew a "Habib" you see. Wondered whether it there was indeed an arabic connection.

Habbibu · 23/06/2008 13:06

wellie, I have spent Much Too Long studying 15th century medicine. I am addled beyond repair.

There's a G&T thread? Oooh, I love nice G&T in the evenings - Bombay Sapphire's my fave, with a big slice of lime

Joined this rather late but tip for messy food hair. Did BLW with DD and she has a mop of incredibly curly thick hair so to avoid things living in there and food getting lost in the curls forever she wears a muslin fashioned into an old lady head scarf type thing on her head whilst eating. Or if its tea time and she's having a bath I just feed her naked and then drop in bath and wash everything inc. hair. Babies/toddlers are supposed to make a mess - its fun and as far as i can tell associating fun with food is a good thing given the rise in eating disorders (esp. amongst young girls) nowadays.
