Breast to bottle help!

I’m trying to transition my 4.5month old from being exclusively breastfed to formula bottles (I want to make sure she’s feeding happily from bottles before I have to go back to work!)
Only tried a couple of times so far- to which she has completely refused the bottle.
We’ve tried my husband doing it with me out of the room. She does t necessarily fuss, but just messes with it and won’t ’latch’
I’ve tried pumping, but it takes half an hour to get an ounce!
Any advice or tips on how to help the transition would be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

I would experiment with different types of bottles, my DD only takes the lansinoh ones, they're very good for breastfed babies. It's also a real learning curve to learn how to latch to a bottle, DD was almost 6 months before she started getting the hang of it so don't be disheartened and keep ploughing ahead.

Also look into paced feeding if you haven't already :)

Thank you!
I’ll try the lanisoh bottles.
I’ve got about 3 months to get her weaned!
Taking her refusal as a compliment to my milk 🤣

Honestly I'd just try cups, mine never took a bottle and was fine with cups - such as a sippy cup or straw cup.

We used expressed milk, but DS2 was never reliable at taking it from a bottle. He sort of cycled in and out of phases where he would/wouldn't. We found sitting him on a lap and helping him sip from a tiny open cup worked best at that age. He didn't get the hang of sippy cups till quite a long time later.

How old will they be wheb you go back to work @MrsMteach?

Ah jist seem that you have around 3 months. Will they be 8 or 9 months and are you going back full or part time?
