if you wean around 26 weeks, you can feed your child what you eat and an assortment of steamed or roasted or boiled or baked things

you don;t need a microwave.

you can defrost things over night, you can warm things in an oven or over hot water

you also don;t need to blend, most stuff will mash down smooth mixed with teh water you cooked it in or milk.

certainly don't need microwave - weaning ds2 atm and still feel no need for one; we don't have space, but I don't like them anyway. Just warm stuff in small container in bowl of hot water and/or hot water added for any extra rice/ff you might add to the mix. And it's quite fun choosing from the freezer what to defrost for the next day's feasting.

much more important to have freezer space and a blender; don't even need proper steamer if you have metal colander/sieve as you can steam stuff in saucepans

have fun
