I didnt know anything about not having them till 1 year. i thought it was 6 months. I wouldn't give a runny yolk though I dont think.

Depends on the baby and if there are any allergies. DD was horribly allergic to egg (spots, vomiting, squits etc) when we first gave it to her (1yo) and so I will be avoiding it until 2 yo for DS. She grew out of it to some extent though thank goodness.

Kellymom seems to say egg yolks between 9 and 12 months and egg whites not until 18 months (here).

the UK guidelines say egg is fine from 6 months

most other countries say after 1 year, or even 2 years.

DD2 has an egg allergy, i gave her scrambled egg at 9 months. We have no other allergies in our family so i wish i had known to leave it until later. She is now 2.7 and seems to be growing out of it.
