hi all

I've started my baby eating (very scary/exciting)
he's been eating now for a month.

so far he's had banana , mash, single fruits and veg and I made him a spaghetti bolenasge. his had yoghurts and loves rusks. this has all been puree/mashed - I guess my question is like where do you go from there? just give him a potato or toast?

I have no idea. he has had the Banana wafers.

the more I read about it the more I dont kknowand just get myself all confused. 😂

Toast fingers are good, you can also let them chase peas around the high chair tray and practice picking things up. Grapes (I quarter then because I'm paranoid) and orange segments (cut up) are fun for them to practice on too.

I know melty sticks she junk food, but I find them useful for baby to hold and nosh on.

How old is he @newmum202410? Wink

newmum202410 · 27/02/2025 21:06

6months
he started puree at just over 5months - advised as he is a very Hungary boy and milk just wasn't cutting it

he can sit up himself and has no issues finding his mouth😂

Ok so if he's 6 months you can give them pretty much anything. My DD loved chomping on a Roast Dinner at 6 months and lots of it, including Yorkshire puddings are pretty easy for them to hold.

The only foods you need to avoid are here.

Solid Start have some good info on weaning here.

And Start for Life have some good recipes to try here Wink
