Almost 1 year old not dropping bottles

DD will be 1 at the start of February and she hasn't really cut out much milk. Her day looks a bit like this

0700 - awake (refused her bottles at this time so stopped offering then)
0745 - breakfast (porridge, fruit and yoghurt)
0945 - 5-8 oz bottle
1000 - 35 minute nap
1130/1200 - lunch (omelette/sandwich/leftovers with picky veg and/or fruit)
1400 - 6-8oz bottle
1415 - 1.5 to 2 hr nap
1600 - snack with cup of oat milk that she barely touches
1730 - dinner
1945 - 10-13 oz bottle (yes, really!)
2000 - bed

She has her bottles in her sleeping bag, in bedroom with sound machine on because she has a strong association. This is possibly contributing to her not dropping milk but we feed what she wants. In total she has 23-29 oz per day and is showing no signs of cutting it out. She eats well and seems to have good portions of food. Should also mention she's on the 98th centile.

I'd thought she would naturally have dropped more of her milk by now but do I need to be encouraging her to do so? And if so, how?

The sleep association might not be helping. Try offering the last bottle earlier, downstairs, followed by brushing teeth and rest of the routine. Try this consistently for a week until it becomes the new norm.
Offering in a straw cup rather than a bottle might also help her transition from the comfort feeding of the bottle, as does replacing one or more bottles with a snack and more water. The one before her morning nap I’d suggest as this is closer to what nursery providers do. Perhaps a banana or pitta/cucumber sticks and humous or something.
I also found the switch at 12 months to full fat cows milk was like magic. DD instinctively reduced her intake and slept better.
Your daughter’s meal portions may be good but she probably needs more calories from snacks. That is a lot of milk for an almost 1 year old. You do also have to consider the impact of the sugars on her teeth and the calcium on her iron absorption.

My baby is one too (nearly 15m). I suppose it depends if your baby is 12 months or 23 but my baby is gradually just weaning off..
he usually has a bottle after his breakfast (4/5oz). Occasionally 2/3oz after his lunch but mostly doesn't bother and then 7/9 oz maybe less before bed. It really doesn't bother me if he does or didn't have it.
Try offering an oz less ever feed if you think it's too much?

My son who was always 98 centile loved his bottle but at one he was getting old for it. I was told by midwives to just start putting less in his bottle each time - so still offer a bottle but instead of 280ml put 180 today and then 150 tomorrow etc. Bottles are comfort things and you need to break the rod you have made for your own back. Put her in her bag but sit her up etc. Also, if she says or indicates she wants more milk in her bottle offer a sippy cup. So, she is still getting milk but not in a bottle.

We did this with my son and once we got to 30ml he shook the bottle looked at me and took the cup.

Good luck!

My DD is a similar age (turns 1 end of Jan) and has a similar amount of formula if that helps? I’m waiting until she’s maybe 13 or 14 months, and then I’ll start removing bottles.

Thank you for the replies. We'll introduce a morning snack before her nap but we're not going to make big changes to her nap/bedtime routine just yet. We're away next weekend so we'll keep her sleep routine as it is. I don't have an issue how/where she drinks her milk other than that she's drinking so much. I'm reluctant to give her less milk than she potentially wants so hopefully increasing her snacks will leave her with less need for milk. She's dairy intolerant so full fat cow's milk isn't an option unfortunately.

At 10 months I thought we had loads of time and now 12 months is looming very close and nothing has changed... whoops.

@Lucy211 that does help, thanks.
