Bubs has never been a good eater since birth. Breastfeeding was non existent to the point I pumped and bottle fed, moved onto formula once she was sleeping through so I didn’t need to wake to pump.

Shes hitting regular weigh ins at 50 percentile consistently so no room for concern but mother’s instinct is saying something isn’t right.

Shes just not fussed by a bottle and milk. Never cries because she’s hungry, she grazes here and there and will take a full bottle when she’s ready but it’s so few and far between I just can’t see how long this can last. Started the weaning journey with her and again… not fussed. Baby led she plays and gets bored… purées refuses the spoon.

any idea if this is something bigger/deeper? Weird request I know because she seems perfectly happy. But I know she needs more sustenance whether that’s a bottle or solids, she just refuses

Firstly check in with your GP and HV just incase.

Secondly, 7 months is nothing. Would you expect them to learn how to go from crawling to running in 1 month? Eating is a developmental skill that takes months or years to master. A few weeks is nothing, even if they just play with food that’s enough.

If she's constantly tracking the 50 centile is this for weight as well as height?

Slightly higher on height.

Well, she must be getting the calories or she wouldn't be thriving? What do you suspect is wrong? Wink

Babies do eat tiny amounts mostly. This guide from the Caroline Walker Trust is useful as it gives suggested portion sizes Flowers
