Baby poo not changed

Hello,

We started weaning our baby girl onto solids at 6 months, she’s now 8.5 months and eating 3 meals a day but her poo is not thick.

Everything I’ve read suggests her poo should be thicker / peanut buttery by now, but it’s the same thin poo it’s always been.

She is breastfed and still taking a lot of milk but a bit less than before.

Did anyone else have this? Is it a sign of some kind of food intolerance?

Thanks!

What sort of food are you giving her?
I think it's very early days to be worried and thinking it indicates anything out of the ordinary. Her guts need time to develop their bio whatevers.
But try her perhaps more on things like toast and pasta than fruit and veg and see how she gets on with that.
My daughter struggled (and still does actually, she's 14) with swinging between very large firm poos and messy poos. I think she might have IBS. When we tried to help her constipation with lots of fruit and veg when she was about 2, she went through an extended period of very messy poos which I took her to the GP about. He suggested giving her banana which was worthless advice.
I googled it and found there is a thing in young children with guts that are still developing, that they struggle with lots of fibre and need more fat in their diets. We were going on holiday so switched her to fish and chips and stuff like that and sure enough it sorted her out.
Try not to worry yet but maybe mix it up a bit. Let her gum some finger foods and see how that goes.

Don't think it's a sign of an allergy unless you're mission out some other information like she has raging reflux?

Agree with PO, it would be helpful if you told us what you're offering her to eat Wink
