To Bibado or not to Bibado…

… That is my question! They seem good but I’m trying to avoid gimmicks and also want little one to have all the messy fun with food. Thinking of just stripping her to her nappy.

If I do go for them, I’m wondering if the bundles are worth it? Do we really need a suction plate, cutlet and dipper spoons? Or would a tea spoon and the high chair tray be enough for now? Will use a Doidy cup for soup.

The maths tells me the bundles are good value compared to sourcing each item individually, but only if we actually need them. Just don’t want to buy the bibs now and then find we should’ve got the bundle, or get the bundle to find we don’t need half of it 😂

Thanks for any insights!

I love the bibs and wish I had bought them for my first! I also wasn’t too sure on whether they were worth the hype to start with so bought 3 that someone was selling on Vinted. I don’t know how much they are now new but I would say go for it! We used suction bowls and plates but didn’t buy them from there.

I like a bibado. It doesn’t seem right to be stripping DS down to their nappy and the good thing about a bibado is you can easily whip it off and wipe it down after you’ve got DS out the chair etc. They can still have all the messy fun with food, the bibado has never stopped DS wearing a bowl of yogurt as a hat.

I found it a bit of a faff to get on and to clean up afterwards. Wiping it down isn't that easy IMO so I was putting it in the wash, but then I might as well just put her clothes in the wash.

Have found it easier just to roll up sleeves and use a silicon bib with a big pouch.

If you’re going into weaning now as it’s getting warmer I would just go for a silicone normal bibs to catch big bits and 1 with sleeves but yeah just let them crack on with top off/sleeves up. The super messy stage doesn’t last that long.
Maybe get one but they’re a bit of a faff to put on and off and a real faff to wash (the extra sticky Velcro sticks to everything else so have to do a separate wash).

The bibs were amazing and I think the cover ups were worth it- DO IT!

We have one and it doesn't get used. I found it to be too cumbersome and it got in his way a bit. We use a regular silicone bib - helps that we're not precious with his clothes I suppose! All food stains have washed out though.

I’m still using mine with my 2 year old when we have messier meals like spag bol or yoghurt so I’ve definitely got my moneys worth! I also use a silicone bib too. I wipe it down if there’s not much there or rinse them out and spin them in the machine. Would rather that than loads of stains on their clothes!
