I guess I must have handed the other two hook, line and sinker over to the nursery to wean since I was back to work earlier.

Am doing BLW-lite (ie the odd puree from a jar when I can't be arsed steaming things), but getting on OK with broccoli, toast, pears, rusky things (calm down - they only have grape juice in them!), carrots, squash etc..

But Junior is either on (another) nursing strike or has just decided he can't be arsed with breastmilk any more.

Today and yesterday he had a feed in the night - yawn - a feed at 7.30am and then not again until 2.30pm. I offered at his usual 2.5-3 hour intervals but not interested. Gave him some water in a doidy cup with his carrots and potatoes at lunchtime (11am!)

Is this normal? it doesn't seem like enough milk to me - he's just 7 months...

Anybodeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?

Help. He only had 3 breastfeeds today and that just doesn't seem like enough - he is the size of a small hippo for god's sake.

would he drink EBM out of a doidy cup? surely he will drink the milk he needs and wants? he might feed like a demon the rest of the week!

he might make up for it at night - dd is refusing bottles at nursery atm and is tanking up at night to make up.

I did worry at first but she is too in touch with her body (iyswim) to starve herself - she'll take what she needs when she can get it.

When I started weaning ds at 6 mo he went off bf quite a lot. He went down to three feeds a day by 7 mo, and then even less, so I stopped, he just loves his food. I would say don't worry, he will take what he needs.

thanks chankins - and all- that is reassuring.
