Would you let a 13 month old eat a whole (not cut up) chicken breast?

Wondering if I can get some advice.

My DD is 13 months old and generally weaning has been going well. Aside from when she is ill or teething she has got a good appetite. We've done BLW plus some spoon feeding.

However I've noticed some fussiness has been crept in recently about foods when they are separate rather than in a meal. For example- she will devour homemade chicken curry spoon fed and then feed herself balls of rice. But if I were to give her the components of the chicken curry separately - chicken breast, peas, veg etc - she won't eat them. In particular, roast chicken she has stopped eating which she used to love.

I'd been cutting up her chicken in line with the solid starts app guidance however one day I noticed she was beckoning for the cooked chicken breast I was cutting up. I gave her it just to see what she would do and she immediately started chewing on it and eating it. I don't know if it's because she wants to be more grown up or she finds the tiny pieces frustrating or just if the bigger shape is more interesting lol.

She was only taking tiny bites but I did take it off her as solid starts says you need to cut it up small.

Does anyone have any advice? Is the choking risk on chicken high? Is it OK if she will only eat things in sauce etc?

Thanks very much all!

No idea why you have to cut it up small. If she's eating it, I'd just let her have it.
