Teething DS on hunger strike

He's 7.5 mths and until a couple of days ago was scoffing yoghurt and banana and toast fingers for breakfast, mangling veg and cheese sticks for lunch and fruit pots for tea.

Now all he wants are fruit pots. I've cooked lovely pasta and cottage pie and all sorts and he just turns away.

This morning he even ignored his yoghurt, which he adores.

Am a bit worried. Should I just leave the food and offer an extra bottle a day until the wretched teeth are through?

I'd offer more milk - my dd certainly wants more milk when teething. Keep offering small amounts of food, but just take it away calmly if he rejects. DD went through her own version of this lately, and is now making up for it by eating huge quantities. Don't worry - he's still very young and milk is still his main source of nutrition.

My DS totally went off his food for three days when he started teething recently, He refused food and milk and would only take the minimum of milk - once the tooth popped through he was totally back to normal and eating again

Ds eats crunchy organix things and yoghurts when teething. It sometimes goes on for yonks. I always offer usual food first though as I never know when he'll decide to eat. That is the frustrating bit, chucking it all away!
