(First post)
I've got a fussy 13m old on my hands, he has been off the bottle since 9m and used to eat almost anything as long as it wasn't too difficult to chew. Now I don't know if it's a phase I need to wait to pass but I feel like I've only got a small wheelhouse of meals he will eat and it's almost all ready made like pizza's or processed pasta packets. I've tried making him spaghetti bol and carbonara fresh which he will eat and then he refuses to eat it another time. I'm making multiple meals all the time to try and combat his fussiness around work and looking after him and I just am hoping for some family meals I can make that will be eaten by all including Mr fussy pants..... at my wits end!

It's difficult if he doesn't take any milk at all. Does he have CMPA? Babies with an allergy like that are usually very fussy as they associate sone foods with pain and discomfort.

Hi he doesn't that I'm aware of as he doesn't show any discomfort whilst eating he just honestly seems to not want to eat the things provided to him for his evening meal. Its so frustrating some days

If it's only his evening meal that he's fussy with I'd ignore the fussiness. Give him something you'll know he will eat on the side. So if he'll eat plain pasta, put a little on the side of his evening meal and don't worry if he refuses to eat the rest.

Just assume he's already eaten enough that day and he's simply not hungry.

At this age they are fabulous at taking in exactly what they need.

Also, if he eats a meal one day and not another, he's just not hungry. It's perfectly normal for toddlers to do this.

If he's not drinking milk, are you replacing the fat and protein as well as the calcium?

I'd try some good fats like these Salmon Nuggets Wink

And you could always make sure that breakfast and lunch are more substantial and the evening meal is lighter. Some toddlers are just too tired to cope with their biggest meal at teatime.

That's actually a really good idea I'll swap his planned lunch and dinner meals around as he does have a lot of tiredness in the evening and is usually in bed by 6pm. I'll give that a try thanks 😊 x
