CMPA and weaning

My daughter had issues with breastfeeding and it was suggested a few times by different doctors/ health visitors that she may have cmpa. I have been dairy free for the most part since she was about 3 months old (now 6 months) and saw a slight improvement in how she was following this. I’m now starting to wean her and have seen it being encouraged to introduce allergens to babies starting from 6 months, including dairy. Now do I carry on avoiding dairy or do I try introduce a little bit to her? It was never 100% confirmed she did have cmpa through tests or anything (not sure if there even is any) but I don’t want to risk making her unsettled again as it was living hell. Any advice is appreciated :)

CMPA is usually diagnosed through elimination, so if you stopped eating it and she improved, that should be enough proof.

Has the GP referred you to a Paediatric Dietician and hopefully the Allergy Clinic?

I have CMPA and I personally wouldn't advise introducing Allergens without the supervision of with or those HCPs.

She’s definitely improved but I suspect there may be more she’s allergic to as she still has some of the symptoms she was having before. GP said now she’s gaining weight well she doesn’t need to be referred to a dietician which he previously was going to do so not sure how to go about getting referred to one

That's really bloody poor. I'd try the HV Flowers

You definitely should have been referred to a dietician. Have a look at the dairy ladder, this is a gradual way to reintroduce dairy. My daughters dietician has said not to start until 12 months though.
