Can anyone recommend a good trainer cup that is NOT a non-spill one, other than the tommee tippee ones?

what about an anyway up cup not sure who makes them i got lovely set of playtex cups with holograms on from costco

i find the pound store or wilkinsons great for cups

have you tried a cow cup? These are brilliant - dd can't get the lid off, and they have a little plastic thing that goes in the lid so they can be non-spill or free flow

Why do you want one to leak?

redadmiral · 21/02/2008 19:08

I used to use NUK ones. they were like the old fashioned sippy cups we had as kids with holes in the spout.

My two couldn't actually get anything out of the anyway up cups, and I found getting the lids off very difficult - and occasionally resulted in the drink flying across the room

I use the Avent ones but take the rubber disc valves off them (but I keep them to put them back on for travelling so they don't leak!). I had no joy with the Anyway up cups - I couldn't get anything out of them, there was no way my dd was going to work that hard for just water

tommee tippee are the best - the basic one and the supersipper
would not recommend anything else

When DS first started solids we got him a sippy cup from boots than was good. Was basically a double handed beaker with a removable spouted lid that had 3 holes in the spout...think it was a disney one...I usually hate buying branded stuff like that but it was the only one I could find at the time.

..off to have a look & see if they do one similar still (we got ours 3 years ago)

terramum · 21/02/2008 22:48

Sorry can't find it on their website....bit have remembered we also used the avent magic cup as well - the valve that makes it no-spill is removable.

Tom is just so fussy. He is 22 months and has only recently started to pick up a cup in an attempt to drink himself! We used to use Doidy cups when we started him on solids.

The ones that are not non spill are easier to get drink out and are supposed to be better for their teeth. But it's the easiness of use we want. We have the Tommee Tippee ones with the flip spout and one that doesn't that we got free from the HV.

I don't think we have any Anywayup cups. Will have to have a looksie. Would love him to use a cup with a straw, but ANY cup he'll drink out of himself would be good.

We have a Avent magic cup, I don't think Tom liked the spout, but will give it another go.

Not tried a supersipper either.

This is similar:

Think you can make it freeflow by removing valve. Don't know best online store - our chemist used to stock them.
