10 month old still spitting out food

Is it normal for a 10 month old to still be spitting out a lot of food? She has quite a good pincer grip now and can bring food to her mouth but a lot of it gets moved around then spat out even for food she seems to like. Is this normal at 10 months? Do we need to do more to teach her how to chew and swallow?

It can be. Lots of things can affect it, mainly teething?

From what I've learnt, their main source of nutrition comes from their milk until age 1 but exaggerating your own eating can really help!

It could be @trrk? Has she worked out yet that good helps with hunger? Is she teething and how much milk does she have if you're FFing?

I’m not sure about whether she has worked out the link between food and hunger yet but there were a few times that she was grumpy and then happy after food. Not sure if she is still hungry after meals as she will usually still eat more if given some of her favourite food (berries). She has been teething off and on for weeks but her top teeth now seem close which might help with chewing.

She is offered 4 x 7oz bottles a day and usually still drinks most of it. I feel like this might be a bit too much for her age and I should be trying to increase food intake?

Ok so if she's teething have you tried Ibruprofen and a teething gel? It might be worth giving those a try to see if that encourages her.

As for the milk, she's having roughly double the amount that recommended for ages 10 to 12 months. How would you feel about cutting a bottle out to see if it will encourage her to eat?

You could start by offering breakfast with a small cup of Formula to see if they will encourage her to eat Wink
