Can I give baby "milkshake"

My daughters was a healthy weight but since I put her onto weaning she only has two meals a day and "tiny" meals even for her age May I add and two bottles of upto 15oz added total formula. Today to encourage her to drink a little more milk I added a tiny piece of banana into her formula and blended it. Then I used a siv to get rid of any lumpy bits and gave her banana formula "milkshake". Don't really class it as anything unhealthy as it's only formula and banana. With that she polished of 9oz of formula. Usually she hates food and hates milk. I wanted to know if it's okay to blend food and milk. I've thought I'll only do it once before bed, might even help her sleep through the night, not that Matters to be honest since I know even 9 month olds wake up through the night. She's 8 months old May I add

"Food before one is just for fun" was the general guidance when DD was small. I'm not sure how many oz is expected at that age as I just breastfed but mixing up formula and banana smoothie shouldn't be a problem but there is lots of natural sugars in bananas and they can cause constipation if they have too much so make sure it isn't just before bed and you brush her teeth well.

Looking online it looks like an 8 month old should have 24oz in a day so 2 bottles of 15 would be just over.

2 bottles totalling to 15oz

No then, you need to give her bottles totalling 24 ozs AND food to explore textures whether you make some of it up as a banana smoothie or not. She's not gaining weight as she's not getting enough milk. You can always add some ground flax seed to food as they are calorific and nutritious but dont change the texture much obviously don't use loads.

Instead of giving her meals just set up a grazing plate so she can try bits throughout the day just make sure shes never unattended with it.

2 bottles throughout the day doesn't seem many feeds either, DD was breast fed but certainly had more than two feeds a day. Maybe split the bottles so she's having more frequent but smaller feeds.
