Puree temperature

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question 🙈
We are very new to the weaning process after just starting on Monday.
We have been pureeing DDs food and so far she has had carrot and broccoli (and seemed to enjoy both!)
Today we are going to try apple, but as we are going to a group this morning I thought I might prepare the puree before we go and put it in the fridge so it's made up for when we get back.
But would I need to heat the puree as it's coming from the fridge? And if so, would this be until piping hot and then left to cool?
It's probably a really stupid question, I just want to make sure I'm doing it right for my little girl. Thank you 😊

No! You only need to heat it up if you feel like it. Cold fruit purée is fine. Tbh Dd had fridge temp purée (even cottage pie) and never minded.

When you do heat up puree (homemade or store bought) you can stick it in the microwave until it’s warm. Make sure you stir it really well so there’s no hotspots.

You don’t need to sterilise food, by 6 months they’re sticking what not in their mouth anyway.

Agree that there's no need to sterilise the food at 6 months. She can also have tap water which is safe but not sterile.

The reason that you sterilise the formula and bottles is that formula isn't sterile and can contain a couple of really nasty bugs which could potentially make baby very seriously ill.

@PritiPatelsMaker that makes a lot of sense - thank you 🙂
