it'll just be because he hasnt been well - it takes a while before they get their appetite back and sometimes you feel as if you are starting back at the beginning again. Are you trying some finger foods too - sometimes they cope better with bits they have chewed off themselves

being ill knocks weaning off really dramatically sometimes, bumbly... i'm sure he'll get back to normal soon.

thanks so much for your comforting words

yes illness has def knowcked weaning right back to square one

what are good finger foods by the way?

again my hv told me to give lo toast and i feel that is too soon...

if your lo is 6 months then toast is fine to give. Be prepared for a bit of gagging but that is how they learn to deal with food/lumps, etc

also cucumber batons, steamed carrot, celery... oh gosh, anything you want really. sugarsnaps, mangetout, green beans, banana, clementines (if you're giving citrus), the deal is if they can pick it up and get it into their mouths, it's finger food, so you might be surprised that whomoved's baby's first food was spaghetti and plenty of 6 monthers like getting their paws on some mashed potato. quite a few ideas here

was it breast of chicken? dd always found that too dry. the lovely sections that come off the leg were always best for her. look, don't get sad or down-hearted, you're putting yourself under a lot of pressure i think. so long as he's okay and drinking milk, that's the main thing. and promise me you're not adding up food every day and keeping track. once a week, tops. you'll find it's more than you think.
