I feel like I'm in a rut with feeding my toddler. I've always been apprehensive when it comes to feeding him. I've never given his raw fruit like apples oranges or pears as I've always worried he'd choke.
Is there anything you don't give your 18 month old? So what I'm asking is is there anything I should be careful of feeding him still? Thank you

Hot dogs, whole nuts, grapes, cherries, hard candies. Thickly spread peanut butter.

Mine has been eating raw fruit since he started eating - just thin slices.

They can basically eat anything as long as you prepare it. Chop up nuts, slice hot dogs along the length etc.

Also remember it's normal for them sometimes cough and sound like they're choking a bit - they're still learning. They have a gag reflex and can sort most stuff out by themselves. Just prep their food and stay close while they're eating. Mine has a bad habit of cramming too much food into his mouth so I have to watch that more than what he is eating.

The only thing he's ever actually choked on was a round rubber stamp from his brothers stamp collection that had fallen under the desk.

@Dogroses thank you so much for your reply. That's really put my mind at ease! I'll start on the fruit and just slice it up for him.
He also crams loads of food into his mouth. Was hoping it would get better as he gets older, but nothing yet
