How quickly will my milk dry up? (2 yo)

I've an almost 2 year old who still breastfeeds in the morning and before bed, as well as a couple of times during the night.

I've an event coming up that will keep me away from her from Saturday lunchtime to Sunday night, and I'm worried my milk will dry up if I don't feed for this long (36 hours). Does anyone have experience of this?

I'm just not ready to stop breastfeeding yet, and I won't go to this event if it means an end. I no longer have a pump, and I doubt a pump would get anything out at this point anyway!

Grateful for anyone's experiences in this.

U could use a haka pump just when DC would usually feed (if you are use to it wont you be a bit engorged by night?)

They are £15 and work by suction if you haven't used one before.

Don't think supply would dry up so quick but not sure its worth he gamble?

Thank you for your reply. Do you think the haka would work? I don't get engorged anymore - for example at the weekend I feed a lot during the day, but obviously during the week I don't as my daughter is at nursery. But I don't seem to get engorged.

Perhaps not then.

Maybe a cheap manual pump just to stimulate your supply when you would usually feed.

Tommee tippee manual is on offer on amazon 😉

Some people i know have had their milk supply dry up only a few days after stopping feeding so I guess its worth doing what you can to avoid that.

Will you back Sunday night so she's feeding again then? So we are essentially talking about 30 hours or so? I'd be very surprised if your milk dried up in that amount of time. DS breastfed until he was 3 and at the end it was just as he went to sleep so every 24 hours and I still had milk for a couple of weeks after he stopped

Plus I know nothing about it but relactation is a thing so even if your supply dropped you should be able to get it back

I'm keen not to waste a pump so if others think 36 hours is ok then I'll give it a go!
