Weaning at six months = unhappy uncomfortable baby at night - anyone else?

Bubba is a week or so over six months. She is well up for food, super interested and has loved trying new things. Her sleep was never great, but since introducing solids, she wakes at night and is crying in pain. Usually would cuddle her to me to settle her, but it's like she can't bear for her tummy to be pressing against me and pulls away. Is this just her digestive system struggling to process it her new diet? It happens every night so it doesn't correlate to what she's had as she's eating different things.

Already suspect a dairy issue, so have cut that from mine and her diet.

Only way to calm her down is to feed her. But am exhausted doing that 4-6 times a night.

I found that weaning threw off all our routines. Weaning food is typically lower in calories than milk, so if she’s eating food instead of milk during the day (especially veg purées etc) could it be possible that she’s simply hungry at night?

I could have written this post. No advice but my little boy is a week over 6 months, and since beginning solids late last week he just won't settle properly at night. I feel like I'm up feeding all night. He's gone from his normal 2 wake ups to about 7/8. It's absolutely horrific. He just doesn't seem comfortable, he'll settle for 40 minutes and then start wiggling.

Out of interest what are you weaning with? We've so far tried avocado, sweet potato, potato, and carrot all puréed with breast milk.

Sorry I couldn't help!

We have been doing BLW mostly so chunks of avocado, slices of toast, peach etc. Nothing particularly exotic. She seems in loads of pain when she wakes. Can't bear to be cuddled into me as if her tummy is really hurting. When I feed, she trumps the whole time. It's like she's struggling with trapped wind more than she did as a baby?!
