finger food

Ok I'm finally going to stop being a chicken and let my 9 month old have some finger food.

One quick question - in terms of size, is it safer to give him a ( for example) decent size carrot baton/ toast solider for him to choose what he would like to bite off or to chop it up small for him?

I'm sure this sounds so silly but I'm really not sure and a bit anxious!

I believe it is safer to give them a biggish chunk and let them bite off bits, rather than give them a small chunk that they might choke on. Your LO should get the hang of it very quickly at 9mo, though expect a little gagging at first.

If you are very nervous then the Organix finger food range are good to start on as they practically melt in the mouth.
