Reheating steamed fruit?

Just wondering if I for example cut and steam an apple to serve as finger food for my LO - if he doesn't eat it all can I put the rest in the fridge and serve the next day?

If so how should I reheat it and how long for? He doesn't tend to like things too cold (e.g. Straight from fridge)

If you steam it how is it finger food? Doesn’t it just go soft like a purée or the apple in a crumble? If he’s held it and licked it then you can’t keep it because of the bacteria in saliva.

If you are reheating anything you have to heat it until hot to kill any bacteria, you are then find to leave it to cool enough for eating.

@IDontLikeMyself no I just steam for a small time so that's it's softer to serve as finger food. E.g. apple is quite hard and a choking hazard raw, so I steam for a few minutes so that it's softer.

I was more planning to serve half (he's doesn't eat much), then save the rest for the next day. Was just wondering what the best way of reheating would be so that it doesn't go soggy.
