7 months - worried I’m over feeding!

My DS has always been a bigger boy. Born in 75th centile. Dropped to 25th centile when he developed reflux and but since we’ve got that sorted out he’s shot back up the chart. He’s now above the 91st centile.
He’s still taking 32-34oz of formula a day as well as 2 solid meals and is doing great at weaning so is taking in loads of solids. He does occasionally push his bottle away part way through or stop taking solids when he’s full so I know he does know if he’s had enough but I’m concerned that I’m maybe offering him too much!
I know all babies are different but can anyone tell me what their 7m old typically eats in a day - including portion size if possible!

The Caroline walker trust website has some very helpful downloads that give you photos of appropriate portion sizes for different ages. There is a pdf on the right hand side of this link, 7-9 months.

As pp says, the guide from the Caroline Walker Trust is very useful as it gives suggested portion sizes.

As for being on the 91st Centile, well some babies have to be, just like some babies are naturally on the 2nd. As long as his weight is in proportion to his height, he'll be absolutely fine Smile

@NannyR @BunnyRuddington Thank you for that link! Haven’t seen that before - it’s very helpful 😊 His length has consistently sat just above the 50th centile since birth so weight is creeping up slightly in relation to his height but I suppose now that he’s frantically crawling around 24/7 his weight may shift slightly!
I wasn’t brought up to have a very healthy relationship with food and it’s taken me many years to shift lots of bad habits so I’m conscious of giving him the best start I can 🤞🏼 Already took a big knock when I had to switch him onto formula and stop BF 😓

My 7 month old eats solids like a horse! It’s a relief as she was referred to paediatrics just before we started weaning for low weight. She was looking a little skinny then and struggled with her pooing. She looks much healthier now and poos much more/easier!
I think use your judgement where possible, if your baby looks healthy, is having wet and dirty nappies and is gaining well and you feel the diet is varied and healthy then just follow their lead!

Sorry, I realised I didn’t really answer your question in a helpful way! We use the bamboo plates and bowls (yes, my mum laughs at us too but I think they look cute!) so the sections are quite small.
Today, for example, she had a weetabix with 4 oz milk (vitamins mixed in), a quarter of a nectarine sliced up and one ripped up banana pancake (probably the size of her hand). She does drop some so I prefer to give a little more than she needs. For lunch we had a veg cous cous which filled (ish) the big section of the plate, a few thin slithers of cheese and a table spoon of coconut yoghurt as the cous cous was slightly spicy. For tea, she’ll have maybe a third of baked sweet potato, table spoon of grated cheese and table spoon of tuna with sweet corn.
She breastfeeds usually at 7am, 11am and 7pm then 8oz formula at 3pm. She’ll probably wake twice in the night to bf

@Sls668 Oh you must be relieved that she’s taken to weaning so well after dropping weight 😊 she sounds like she loves her food like my boy! He seems absolutely fine - on the go 24/7, ransacking my house 😅 plenty of wet and dirty nappies, and I haven’t found a food yet that he’s refused. Everything he’s having is fresh and homemade and I’m trying to make sure all his meals are healthy and balanced. I just need to trust my own instincts more I think 😅

And you won’t find any judgement here - we’re bamboo plates and bowls people too 😀😍🤣
