Early morning waking

My DD turned one year old yesterday. ()
I am currently working towards stopping BF.
She now eats a lot and I have started to offer her food during the day instead of BF when she asks for it.
She's down to about 2 or maybe 3 feeds a day.
I also introduced cows' milk last week and she has been drinking that quite happily.

For the last few months I have avoided BF during the night and have only changed nappies and cuddled her back to sleep.
However, if she wakes at between 4.00 and 6.00am I figure that she must be hungry after not eating anything for about 10 hours and I often give her a feed to put her back to sleep for a couple more hours.

Once I stopp BF completely, I'm wondering what to do when she wakes at that time in the morning. It seems a little unfair to leave her crying and hungry just because it's a couple of hours too early for breakfast.

What do you all do for your weaned toddlers when they wake early and hungry?

Cup of warm cows milk does the trick for us - she lurches for the cup when she sees it coming. After the debate as to which of us has to go downstairs to get it...

Thanks Habbibu.

Anyone else?

tbh ds (13 months) gets his milk when we all go downstairs so regardless of when he wakes he gets his cup of milk at around 7.30am and breakfast shortly after. If he wakes earlier he just has to wait for it. Could you offer just a drink of water from a cup to tide her over till milk time?
