We have a milk delivery of which we order the quantity we need for us and our baby however have woken up to 9 pints of milk on the doorstep....
Milk company say it's a mistake, don't worry about it, enjoy it, we don't want it back....
So, anybody any ideas what I can make that I can freeze containing milk for our weaning baby?!!! I don't want it to go to waste!
Thank you

This isn't an idea for a baby, but a similar thing happened to us once but with an online delivery - I messed up the quantities so we ended up with loads.

I bought some ice cube freezer bags and made milk cubes, then put one in a mug when I first got up. By the time I was ready to make my brew after a shower etc it was melted enough not to cool the tea down too much.

Lasted quite a while, and we only use milk for brews so we didn't have to buy any for weeks, and not a drop went to waste :).

Cauliflower cheese, macaroni cheese
You can just freeze the milk though, if you have space

Just freeze the milk, although its presumably in glass bottles so you'll need to decant I'd think.
I get supermarket milk and freeze the 4-pint bottles.
Ice cubes for tea & coffee sound like a good idea.

Thank you for the replies, I didn't even think of freezing the milk for our teas and coffees! Great suggestion.
Looks like it's going to be a cheese sauce making day today!

I always batch cook fish pie if I have a lot of milk. www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/friday-night-fish-pie Fish pie was once of the first family meals we ate with my weaning ds.

I also used to make and freeze these porridge fingers recipes.sainsburys.co.uk/recipes/family/banana-and-raspberry-porridge-fingers - Put them in the fridge on a tray until they go fairly solid, then transfer to a freezer bag.

These fritters don’t use much milk, but I thought I ought to mention them as they freeze well and my dc love them www.myfussyeater.com/pea-sweetcorn-fritters/

Hi @Fivemoreminutes1 thank you for the suggestions, yes fish pie is a favourite in our house as well!

Another vote for fish pie. You could make rice pudding and freeze that in portions too.

Rice pudding!

I also used ice cube bags when I was single and without a small milk guzzling child :-)

Indulgent hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows?

Offer to neighbours?

Enjoy your milk!

Crepes and waffles use 500 ml of milk each. You can't really freeze crepes, but waffles yes.
Or make yoghurt.

Forgot all about pancakes. Berry pancakes can be frozen on ones or twos and would make a nice breakfast for LO or a handy snack of you were out and about Smile
