Weaning a reflux baby

Hi, my little girl is EBF, she has CMPA and I am also soy and egg free as we suspect she may also have some reaction to them. Her reflux has settled now she is on lansoprazole.
I wondered what foods you started with. I've read mixed things about starting with root veg and how some reflux babies cannot handle them. Can I ask what foods you started with and your experiences?

We are on a waiting list for a dietician appointment but due to covid this isn't going to be anytime soon 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Each baby is unique and will have different reactions to foods. We were told to start with purées because babies with refluxcan be sensitive to different textures. For us, this turned out to be a really bad idea. The purees were too much liquid for DD and made her vomiting worse. I quickly decided to skip the purees and move straight on to more textured food and finger foods. This made a big difference. She was a happier baby because she was hungry less often and the reflux symptoms settled down.
I also found that giving solids after a milk feed helped to keep the milk in her stomach.
Pears were a favourite either steamed and mashed or in strips. Also good for adding to porridge or custard. Be warned, I’ve heard that for some babies, pear makes reflux worse.
I found that rice added to a small amount of veg worked very well in the early stages too. It could be mixed quickly and to differing thicknesses.
Lumpy sweet potato mash or roasted in chip shapes
Plain chicken strips
Fish in small pieces
Parsnip or carrot steamed and in chip shapes
Peanut butter on toast fingers

Trial and error is the best way to find foods that she can stomach. It will help to keep a food diary.
