my youngest now 21mo so squeezing my brain to remember - tho still have lots of notes from when granny minded her on my noticeboard (aww) That list sounds pretty similar to mine. I read somewhere about a portion of something being the amount that you could fit into the child's cupped hand, and i still use that theory to feed my lot - well it works on the 4 & 7 yr olds but not on the 21mo who has hollow legs and can eat the same amount as her brothers

My dd is about the same age and gets 5oz milk then porridge about an hour later, an Asda tub of main at lunch and milk in the afternoon and then another Asda tub of main or pudding at teatime with another milk before bed at 8. The asda tubs are great and come in a small (which I use) and large for when they are a bit bigger. They are in the baby aisle and come in stacks of 6 with lids for 1.50. I have heard on other forums that until the age of one food is for fun and milk should still be the main source - about 20oz a day. Hope this helps
Sx

From what I remember with ds1 you can use cows milk in cooking and with cereal from 6 months old but not as a main drink until they are a year old.Ds2 is the same age as your lo and I normally use full fat milk in his food, unless he has left any of his formula in his bottle, which doesn't happen very often.

Hi Leeeza, I still use formula - just make up twice the usual amount and then use half, and give her half. I don't measure out the porridge, but thinking about it, it would be about the same amount as you are giving. DD is going to stay with my mum for the first time tomorrow, so I'll be writing out a list for her. EEK. I'll be on the phone every two minutes knowing me!
